The bokeh (blurry background) that results from using this lens is out-of-this-world gorgeous. This L series lens is super fast to focus, which is perfect for all of your Canon portrait photographer friends. This lens is compact and great for travel and works for landscapes and nature, as well as classic portraiture. It is so versatile that I often forget to take it off my camera.
